2024-25 Women's Tennis All-Conference Honors Released

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its Women's Tennis Honors in conjunction with the league's tournament which is ongoing at the Westwood Tennis Center in Lima, Ohio.

University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) sophomore, Agathe Vaillant was voted by the WHAC head coaches as the Player of the Year. The native of Landerneau, France finished the regular season with a 15-1 singles record. She was undefeated in conference play, going 5-0 at third singles. Her only loss on the season came in a match against NAIA No.3 Lindsey Wilson. Vaillant is the second consecutive UNOH member to earn Player of the Year and the fifth all-time.

Teammate Ekaterina Orlova was named the conference Newcomer of the Year. Orlova is a junior transfer, hailing from Moscow, Russia. She finished the WHAC slate with a perfect 5-0 record (1-0 at first singles, 4-0 at second) and was 18-5 overall in singles play this season. She is the second consecutive UNOH player to be named Newcomer of the Year and the third all-time.

UNOH Head Coach Jeff Brown was chosen by his peers as the WHAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year. This is the second consecutive year he has earned this honor. Brown led UNOH to perfect 6-0 record and a regular season championship. The title marked the second in as many years and seventh all-time for the Racers.

Concordia University-Ann Arbor head coach, Dean Boodakian, was chosen by his peers as the Champion of Character Head Coach. This award goes to the head coach who best exemplifies the NAIA's Five Core Values of: Respect, responsibility, Sportsmanship, Servant Leadership and integrity.

In addition to All-Conference awards, the WHAC also released its All-Academic and Champions of Character honors. The All-Academic Team consists of sophomores or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA who have been in attendance at their school for one full year.
