Indiana Tech Wins Men's Bowling Regular Season Title
For the sixth time in program history and the second time in the last three seasons, Indiana Tech Men's Bowling has earned the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season title. The Warriors put the final stamp on the championship on Saturday in the fourth and final WHAC regular season event, winning the Greater Detroit Open at Thunderbowl Lanes to cap off their championship season. Indiana Tech won three of four regular season events, finishing second in the only event they did not win.
This championship is the first outright title for Indiana Tech since 2022 as they earned a co-title in 2024 with Lawrence Tech. The victory snaps Lawrence Tech's streak of three-straight regular season titles, with the Blue Devils finishing in second this season. The win also secures the top seed for the Warriors at the WHAC Championships on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Royal Scot in Lansing. New this year, the top eight teams from the regular season earn a place in the double-elimination championship.
Teams earn points based on their finish in each of the four conference events: 1st- 23 pts, 2nd- 19 pts, 3rd- 16 pts, 4th- 13 pts, 5th- 10 pts, 6th- 8 pts, 7th- 6 pts, 8th- 4 pts, 9th- 3 pts, and 10th - 2 pts
