Indiana Tech Picks up Win at WHAC Michigan Open
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - (Individual | Team) For the second time in three regular season events, Indiana Tech Men's Bowling has claimed top honors in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season event. The Warriors previously won the Jackson Open, finished second at the Great Lakes Open and got back to their winning ways on Saturday at the Michigan Open. Indiana Tech combined for a total of 6367 pins, 94 better than second-place Lawrence Tech. University of St. Francis was third with 6132 followed by Aquinas (5867) and Madonna (5742). A highlight of Saturday's event came when Lawrence Tech's Ben Augustitus kicked off his first game of the day with a 300.
Indiana Tech has won two events and placed second in the other to hold first place in the standings with 65 points. Lawrence Tech is second with 54 followed closely by Aquinas with 49.
The fourth and final regular season WHAC event is set for Saturday, Jan. 24 at Thunderbowl Lanes.
