Women's Cross Country: Cornerstone, Aquinas + Individuals Qualify for NAIA Nationals
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (Full NAIA Release) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced team and individual qualifiers for the 2025 Women's Cross County National Championships. Two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) teams and four more individuals have earned the right to compete in the race to be held at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida on November 21. WHAC champion, #4 Cornerstone, earned the conference's automatic bid by way of winning the conference. #19 Aquinas earned an at-large berth as one of 36 teams to qualify.
Four WHAC individuals also qualified for the race. They are: Bronwyn Nel (Indiana Tech), Sarah Koker (Indiana Tech), Tyfane Martins (Madonna) and Izzie Lashaway (Madonna).
The championship will air on NAIA Network and Urban Edge Network, with links, including URLs, mobile apps, and smart TV information, at NAIA.org/watch. The women's race is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. ET. Awards will air at approximately 11 a.m. ET.
Last year's national champion, The Master's (Calif.), is in the field as an automatic qualifier from the Great Southwest Conference, along with last season's individual champion, Jaynie Halterman, running for top-ranked Taylor (Ind.), as the Trojans earned the automatic bid from the Crossroads League.
