Defiance's Horvath, Concordia's Ullenbruch Named Outdoor Athletes of the Week
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
WHAC SID's have selected Mira Horvath (Defiance) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Jayde Ullenbruch (Concordia) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Horvath won the 800m at the Joshua Culbreath Invite, breaking the school record with a time of 2:21.28. This is her second school record broken and second event win. Ullenbruch took sec ond place in the long jump over the weekend at the Oakland University Elaine Leigh Invite. Her leap of 5.50m was good to best the field of 16 athletes.
