UNOH Earns 1-0 win over Aquinas to Claim Tournament Title

LIMA, OHIO - For the fifth consecutive season, University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) and Aquinas met in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament finale. For the second time in the last three seasons, UNOH came out on top, earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory to pull off the regular season and tournament sweep in the WHAC in 2025. The game was deadlocked at 0-0 until the 62 minute. That's when UNOH's Ella Beaton-Hill found the back off the net off an assist from Keira Ferns. The goal proved to be the game winner in a game that was defensive focused. UNOH had four shots on frame while Aquinas had just two, both sent away by Sophia Eisner. 

Both Aquinas and UNOH will now turn its focus to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. Both school will learn their opponent and game location on Friday during the NAIA selection show at 7 p.m. The selection show can be viewed here.
