Ammon and Frauenpreiss Named Women's Soccer Players of the Week
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Women's Soccer Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen UNOH's Janne Esther Frauenpreiss as the Defensive Player of the Week and Siena Heights' Sarah Ammon as the Offensive Player of the Week. Frauenpreiss assisted once while anchoring a backline that allowed just three shots on goal and only five total shots over two matches. That marks five consecutive clean sheets for the Racers. Ammon led the Saints to a pair of wins thanks to her two goals and an assist.
