Women's Soccer Honors Announced

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released its women's soccer honors for the 2016 season. Davenport head coach Chris Allen was named Coach of the Year after leading the Panthers to a tie with Northwestern Ohio for the regular-season title. Cornerstone head coach Randy Strawser was voted as the Champions of Character Coach.

Northwestern Ohio headlined the All-Conference honors, placing five on the first team. UNOH forward Camilla Andersen earned Offensive Player of the Year honors and teammate Hannah Baines was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. UNOH freshman Evokia Popadinova was Newcomer of the Year.

In addition to All-Conference (first and second team), the WHAC also released its All-Academic Team comprised of juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better and its Champions of Character Team with one representative from each team who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
