UNOH's Douglas Named Women's Golfer of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Women's Golf Player of the Week award, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information departments and selected via a vote by conference SIDs.

This week's honor heads to Lima as Molly Douglas of the University of Northwestern Ohio has been named the Women's Golfer of the Week following a dominant tournament victory.

Freshman Molly Douglas claims Women's Golfer of the Week honors after a stellar wire-to-wire performance at the LTU Spring Shootout. Douglas displayed remarkable consistency and poise over three rounds on the 5,691-yard, par-72 course. She opened the tournament with a 75 (+3) and followed it with a 76 (+4), before saving her best for last with a closing 1-over-par 73.

Her three-round total proved to be the class of the field, earning her a 1st place individual finish in a competitive field of 51 golfers. Douglas' individual title also propelled the Racers to a strong team showing in the 9-team event.
