Binyahya Claims WHAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Golfer of the Week awards, presented by PCC Sports earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen UNOH's Sharifah Binyahya as the Golfer of the Week. Binyahya won her fourth event in four tries this fall, winning the Stonehenge Golf Invitational last week. The senior shot 76 in round one then fired a two-under 69 to finish tied and send it to playoff holes. After three playoff holes, Binyahya was victorious and earned medalist honors. The two-under 69 was the second-best round in program history.
