Indiana Tech Wins Fourth-Straight Regular Season Title

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - For the foruth time in as many seasons and seventh in the last eight, Indiana Tech is the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season champion. The Warriors finished the campaign with a 19-1 WHAC record. Their conference record during the four-straight championships is a remarkable 79-4. Indiana Tech has won 16 straight games as they prepare for the upcoming conference tournament.

Aquinas finished in second place with a record of 17-3. The Saints improved six spots from their 8th place finish a season ago, the largest jump of any conference member. Siena Heights and Cornerstone each finished at 14-6. The Saints hold the tiebreaker and will be the three seed in the upcoming tournament. Concordia Ann-Arbor rounds out the top five with an impressive 12-8 WHAC record in their final season as a conference member. 

Indiana Tech claims the first of the WHAC's two auto bids to the NAIA National Championship. The winner of the tournament, or runner-up if Indiana Tech wins, will earn the second bid. 

The WHAC Women's Basketball Tournament is set to take place on high-seed campuses. Opening round action starts on Monday, Feb. 24 with quarterfinals on the 26th, semifinals on the 28th and finals on Monday, March 3.
