Lawson and Locke earn WHAC WBB Player of the Week Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Women's Basketball Players of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
WHAC SIDs have chosen Alysia Lawson (UNOH) as the Offensive Player of the Week and Maddux Locke (Lawrence Tech) as the Defensive Player of the Week. Lawson scored 27 points in a big WHAC win over Cornerstone, helping the Racers to the most wins in a season since 2014-15. Lawson is second in the country in scoring with 25.2 points per game this season. LTU's Maddux Locke helped the Blue Devils to a pair of WHAC wins over Defiance and UM-Dearborn last week. The freshman had seven steals, two blocked shots and 14 defensive rebounds in the 2-0 week.
