Madonna Softball Set for National Title Game Matchup with Southeastern

COLUMBUS, Ga. - (NAIA Softball Page) The Madonna University Crusaders, have punched their ticket to the national title game at the 2026 NAIA Softball World Series. The Crusaders, the top-seeded team in the bracket, earned wins over #8 Indiana Wesleyan and #4 Mobile (Ala.) to set up a winners bracket final classic with #2 Southeastern (Fla.) The Crusaders used a huge grand slam off the bat of Jessica Dunkel to break the game open and punch its ticket to the final. Southeastern battled back on Wednesday and defeated Our Lady of the Lake to set up a rematch on Thursday. That game, weather depending, is set to begin at 11 a.m. with the "if necessary" game to follow. Madonna needs one win to earn the Red Banner while Southeastern would need a pair.

Weather has been a consistent theme throughout the week with an abundance of schedule changes and adjustments as a results of frequent storms and wet weather in the area. The final was originally set for Wednesday, but was pushed to Thursday when the Southeastern and OLLU game was delayed nearly five hours.

Tomorrow's action can be watched on the Urban Edge Network.
