Bravo and Zwagerman Earn Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Softball Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen Cornerstone's Zwagerman as the player of the week and Indiana Tech's Savannah Bravo as the pitcher of the week.

Zwagerman was 7-for-11 with eight runs scored and five RBI in a 4-1 week for the Golden Eagles. The senior also drew six walks and stole a pair of bases while scoring eight runs.

Bravo repeats as the pitcher of the week thanks to another stellar week in the circle. The defending NAIA pitcher of the week made three starts, earning three wins. She finished with 22 innings pitched, allowing just three runs on 10 hits while striking out 27 and walking just three. She finished the week with a 0.95 ERA and a .59 WHIP.
