UNOH's Keighley, Aquinas' Pavese Earn Softball Player of the Week Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Softball Players of the Week Award, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen Dani Keighley (UNOH) as the Player of the Week and Sophia Pavese (Aquinas) as the Pitcher of the Week. Keighley drove in at least two runs in all six games played for a team-high 18 RBI on the week. She also hit in all six games, extending her current hit-streak to 13 games. Aquinas' Pavese appeared in six game last week making a pair of starts. She picked up four wins, tossing 25.1 innings allowing just four earned runs on 17 hits with 26 strikeouts.
