IT's Rioux Repeats as Wrestler of the Week
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Wrestler of the Week Award, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, SID's have chosen Indiana Tech's Luke Rioux as the Men's Wrestler of the Week for the second consecutive week. The senior 133-pounder went 5-0 at the Missouri Valley Invite to win the 133 championship. He finished the weekend with three wins via fall, one tech fall and a major decision. Two of those wins were over opponents ranked in the top 15. His efforts helped the Warriors to a fifth-place team finish in the 41-team field.
