IT's Rioux Named Men's Wrestler of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Wrestler of the Week Award, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, SID's have chosen Indiana Tech's Luke Rioux as the Men's Wrestler of the Week. The senior 133-pounder went 5-0 at the Spartan Mat Classic to claim the division title. The sophomore earned a win via pin in 1:18 to start the day then earned a major decision victory and another pin, this time in 19 seconds to advance to the semifinals. Medical forfeits in the semis and finals pushed the record to 5-0 and earned him the division win.
