2025 Men's Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll Released

Head Men's Volleyball Coaches in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) have voted Lawrence Tech as the preseason favorite for the upcoming 2025 season. The Blue Devils earned seven of nine first-place votes and 79 total points to edge out second-place selection, Cornerstone, which had the remaining two first-place votes and 70 total points. Indiana Tech was close behind with 65 total points. Defending WHAC regular-season champion, Lourdes, checks in at fourth place with 54 points.

The Blue Devils return nearly their entire starting lineup from the 2024 WHAC tournament championship team as they look to make a run in 2025. Their tournament title a season ago was historic, as they claimed the trophy as the number five seed, marking the first time in WHAC history that a team other than the top seed has won the title. Cornerstone returns the majority of its roster as well, including Ernest Broaster (WHAC Newcomer of the Year), Patrick Voloch (WHAC Setter of the Year), and Kyi Jagorin (WHAC Libero of the Year). The Golden Eagles were 21-5 overall and 15-3 in WHAC play a season ago, good for a second-place regular-season finish. Indiana Tech finished runner-up in the 2024 WHAC tournament and looks to build on that momentum with a host of returning talent mixed with a slew of newcomers. The Warriors were 26-6 overall and 14-4 in WHAC action a season ago.

Poll Methodology: Each WHAC head coach ranks teams 1-9 depending on their predicted finish for the 2025 season. First-place votes are worth 9 points, second are worth 8, and so on.

The 2025 season officially gets underway on January 24. WHAC play begins on February 4.
