Madonna's Dorothea, IT's Keys Earn First Men's Indoor Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen Madonna's Netanel Dorothea as the Track Athlete of the Week and Indiana Tech's Damien Keys as the Field Athlete of the Week. 

Dorothea won both events he ran in at the Cougar Invite last weekend, hitting NAIA A-standards in both. He won the 400m dash with a time of 46.88 and followed it up with another win in the 200m with a time of 21.23.

Keys won the long jump at the Notre Dame Blue & Golf Invite and finished second in the triple jump. His winning long jump leap of 7.35m was good for an NAIA A-standard. He jumped 13.75m in the triple jump.
