Aquinas' Radovic, Madonna's Hirami Named Players of the Week
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Soccer Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen Aquinas' Ivan Radovic as the Defensive Player of the Week and Madonna's Ryushin Hirami as the Offensive Player of the Week.
Radovic, a junior goalkeeper from Bokelj, Montenegro used a clean sheet to help the Saints to a 1-0 win over Saint Xavier (Ill.) The win was the first of the season for Radovic and the fourth of the season for the 4-0 Saints. Hirami helped the Crusaders to a 2-0 week highlighted by a two-goal effort in a 3-0 win over Saint Francis (Ind.) on Aug. 31.
