WHAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week 8-26
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Soccer Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen Concordia's Evan Lock as the Defensive Player of the Week and UNOH's Natxo Sanchez as the Offensive Player of the Week.
Lock, a native of Racine, Wisc. was named the Defensive Player of the Week, helping Concordia to a 4-2 win over Saint Francis (Ind.) Lock scored a pair of goals, had a defensive save and was a part of the Cardinal defensive which forced six Cougar offsides. On the offensive side, Madrid, Spain native Natxo Sanchez posted his first career hat trick in a 3-0 win over Saint Xavier (Ill.)
