Bendfeldt and Fewster Net Lacrosse Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions and selected via a vote by the conference's sports information directors.

This week's honors recognize the nation's leading point scorer continuing his tear through the conference and a junior goalkeeper who stood tall in the cage to keep his team undefeated in WHAC play.

Offensive Player of the Week

Cam Fewster, Indiana Tech (Jr., A - Calgary, Alberta)

Cam Fewster earns his second consecutive Offensive Player of the Week honor as he continues to solidify his status as a playmaker. The nation's leading scorer added 14 points to his season total last week, fueled by 9 goals and 5 assists. Fewster was clinical in a victory over (RV) Michigan-Dearborn and remained a bright spot in a tough battle against #1 Madonna, where he accounted for 8 points. His relentless offensive pressure also included 2 ground balls and a caused turnover.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jonathan Bendfeldt, Madonna (Jr., G)

Jonathan Bendfeldt claims Defensive Player of the Week honors after anchoring the Crusaders' defense through a pair of pivotal victories. Bendfeldt was a wall in the cage, totaling 33 saves across two games for a .702 save percentage. His most impressive performance came in a high-stakes showdown at Indiana Tech, where he turned away 25 shots to help Madonna secure a 25-11 win. By maintaining an 8.00 goals-against average against top-tier competition, Bendfeldt ensured the Crusaders remained atop the conference standings.
