Williams and Pacer Earn Weekly MLAX Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions and selected via a vote by the conference's sports information directors.

This week's honors highlight a high-scoring road trip for Aquinas and a ground-ball clinic from a veteran defender at Taylor.

Offensive Player of the Week

Braeden Williams, Aquinas (Jr., M - Ada, Mich.) Braeden Williams was the engine behind a perfect 2-0 road week for the Saints, totaling 16 points across two conference victories. Williams came up clutch in a defensive battle against No. 7 Indiana Tech, netting four goals and an assist to help Aquinas escape with a 10-9 win. He followed that performance with an offensive explosion at Michigan-Dearborn, where he tallied 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists). Williams finished the week with 11 goals and a sharp .667 shots-on-goal percentage, proving to be one of the conference's most lethal scoring threats.

Defensive Player of the Week

Lucas Pacer, Taylor (Sr., D - Wheaton, Ill.) Senior Lucas Pacer earns his second Defensive Player of the Week nod of the season after a dominant performance in the defensive third for No. 9 Taylor. Pacer was a vacuum in the Trojans' 18-10 victory over Lawrence Tech, securing a season-high 13 ground balls and recording three caused turnovers. Across two matches, Pacer totaled 18 ground balls and four caused turnovers, providing the defensive stability and possession resets necessary for the Trojans to maintain their top-10 national standing.
