Dale and De La Paz Named Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its latest Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions and selected via a vote by the conference's sports information directors.

This week's honors celebrate a record-setting scoring outburst from Taylor University and a game-changing performance at the face-off dot for Michigan-Dearborn.

Offensive Player of the Week

Jackson Dale, Taylor

(Jr., A - Fort Collins, Colo.)

Jackson Dale was an unstoppable force for No. 9 Taylor this week, racking up a staggering 23 points across just two matches. The junior attacker showcased elite balance, recording at least 5 goals and 5 assists in each outing. His performance against Siena Heights was one for the record books, as his 12-point explosion (5 goals, 7 assists) marked the second-highest single-game point total in program history. Dale finished the week with 11 goals and 12 assists, maintaining a sharp 87% shots-on-goal percentage.

Defensive Player of the Week

Gabriel De La Paz, Michigan-Dearborn

(So., M/FOS - Huntley, Ill.)

Gabriel De La Paz earns Defensive Player of the Week honors after a dominant performance that propelled the Wolverines to an upset victory over No. 9 Taylor. De La Paz went 13-of-19 (68%) on face-offs, providing Michigan-Dearborn with the consistent possessions needed to secure the win. In addition to his work at the dot, he collected 7 ground balls and contributed offensively with a goal and two assists, proving to be the instrumental spark for the Wolverines' transition game.
