King and Angstmann Claim Final MBB Weekly Awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its final Men's Basketball Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen UNOH's Antonio King as the offensive player of the week and Defiance's Evan Angstmann as the defensive player of the week. 

King averaged 29.5 points per game, shooting 58% from the field and 55% from three in a pair of hard-fought WHAC contests to conclude the regular season. 

Angstmann set career-best numbers in rebounds in each of last week's games, starting with 13 boards on Wednesday and 20 on Saturday in the season finale. He became the 10th Yellow Jacket to record 20 rebounds in a game and the first since the 1999-00 season. 30 of his 33 rebounds were defensive. He also added a career-best four blocks in Saturday's win over Aquinas.
