Madonna Claims Men's Basketball Regular Season Conference Title

For the second time in the last three seasons, Madonna University has claimed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season men's basketball championship. The Crusaders defeated Rochester Christian on Saturday afternoon to secure the outright title. Its their second championship in the last three seasons. They concluded the season with a 18-4 conference record and 21-7 overall mark. Last seasons champion, Indiana Tech was close behind, finishing in second place with a 17-5 WHAC record. Rochester Christian finished third with a 15-7 conference mark. 

The WHAC Men's Basketball Tournament takes place on high-seed campuses beginning on Thursday, Feb. 26. The tournament returns back to the eight-team format this season. semifinals are set for Saturday Feb. 28 with finals set for Tuesday, March 1.
