UNOH Sweeps MBB Weekly Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Basketball Player of the Week Award, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen Ryan Archey (UNOH) as the Offensive Player of the Week and Antonio King (UNOH) as the Defensive Player of the Week. Archey led the Racers to its first undefeated week of the season, scoring 28 and 27 points in wins over Olivet and Concordia-Ann Arbor. The senior guard shot 54% from the field and 52% from three, knocking down seven from range in the win over Concordia. Teammate Antonio King was stellar on both sides of the ball in the wins, pulling down 18 boards (13 defensive) and swiping three steals while blocking three shots. The junior also averaged eight points per game and dished out seven assists in the wins.
