Valorant and League of Legends Preseason Coaches Polls Released

The spring slate of WHAC Esports features Valorant and League of Legends and the preseason coaches poll for each title have been released. Lawrence Tech earned top billing in Valorant with Indiana Tech selected as the preseason favorite in League of Legends.

Lawrence Tech earned six of eight possible first place votes and 62 points to earn honors as the preseason favorite for the upcoming Valorant season. The Blue Devils were 7-1 in regular season action a season ago and finished runner-up at the WHAC tournament to Siena Heights. They look to take the next step in 2026.

Siena Heights ran the table to earn the inaugural WHAC Valorant title a season ago. The Saints were 8-0 in regular season action and advanced through the tournament unscathed to earn the tournament championship as well. They received 58 total points and the two remaining first-place votes.

Indiana Tech rounds out the top three with 48 total points. Champions of Rocket League and Overwatch 2 in the fall slate of games, the Warriors look to keep momentum going in Valorant this fall.

A smaller slate of teams makeup the conference grouping for League of Legends this spring. Indiana Tech earned all three first place votes and nine total points to earn the title of preseason favorite. The Warriors were a perfect 7-0 in the regular season but ultimately fell in the finals to Rochester Christian a season ago. They look to build off of last season's momentum as they set their sites on an Esports championship in 2025-26.

Siena Heights, a third place finisher a season ago, earned six points in the poll with Bethel checking in a third with the remaining three points.
