UNOH sweeps Baseball Weekly Awards
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen UNOH's Cesar Grau as the player of the week and teammate Zach Cabell as the pitcher player of the week.
Grau recorded atleast one hit in all four games as the Racers went 3-1 including a win over No. 5 Tennessee Wesleyan. Grau was 7-for-13 with a home run and four doubles. He drove in four runs, scored once and finished the week with a .846 slugging percentage.
Cabell wins the award for the second consecutive week with another gem. The senior right hander tossed a complete game shutout against Culver-Stockton to earn a win. He struck out nine and walked one, allowing just one hit in seven innings of work.
