Madonna's Mitchell, UNOH's Cabell Earn Weekly Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Player of the Week Awards, presented by Tarkett Sports Construction, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC SIDs have chosen Madonna's Aamir Mitchell as the player of the week and UNOH's Zach Cabell as the defensive player of the week. 

Mitchell was 7-for-14 in four games last week, slugging 1.214 with a .588 on-base percentage. The junior outfielder hit three home runs including two in a single game. He drove in 11 runs and also added a double.

Cabell tossed a complete game gem in a win against RV IU-Southeast. The senior right hander allowed just two runs on four hits and struck out eight, walking just one.
