UNOH's Otero and Lybarger Sweep Baseball Weekly Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Players of the Week Award, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen Eliomar Otero (UNOH) as the Player of the Week and Brayden Lybarger (UNOH) as the Pitcher of the Week. Otero recorded a hit in all six games last week with multi-hits in four. Currently holds a nine-game hitting streak. He also slugged two home runs, had five doubles, drove in 11 and scored 10. Teammate Lybarger tossed a complete game shutout in a win over Lawrence Tech. The junior right hander stroke out five and allowed just two hits in the victory.
