Burke and Bobolia Named Baseball Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Baseball Players of the Week Award, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen Josh Burke (Concordia) as the Player of the Week and Sinjon Bobolia (UNOH) as the Pitcher of the Week. Burke had a massive week at the plate, helping Concordia run its current win streak to 20 games with a 6-0 week. Burke slugged six home runs and totaled 14 RBIs. Seven of his eight hits on the week went for extra bases. Bobolia made a pair of starts for the Racers, earning two WHAC wins. The junior righty combined for 12.2 innings or work, allowing just two runs on 12 hits with four strikeouts.
