GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Concordia University junior Aaron Hacias and Aquinas College senior Dave Ottenwess have been honored by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference as the Player and Pitcher of the Week respectively for April 14, 2008. Hacias, a Sterling Heights, Michigan, native, hit at a .412 clip through six games for the Cardinals. The junior second baseman went 7-for-17 at the plate with three doubles, a home run and three RBIs while also drawing six walks and scoring 10 runs. Hacias now stands three doubles shy of the Concordia doubles record and is in the toop-10 list for runs scored and extra-base h its. Ottenwess, a Grand Rapids, Michigan, native, went 1-0 on the mound for the Saints, picking up the win over WHAC leader Indiana Tech with a complete game, five-hitter.
