Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Davenport University Athletic Department has begun its search for a new Head Coach for Men's Basketball.  DU Director of Athletics Paul Lowden has started a nationwide search for candidates and already has more than 50 applicants. The position will remain open until April 18, and the university will interview candidates for the head coaching position during the week of April 21.

The men’s basketball team is currently being guided by interim head coach Nick Davidson after the Panthers concluded their second straight season with an overall record of 10-21.  The Panthers are eagerly awaiting the finished construction of their new 75,000 sq. foot Student Center which will give the school its first ever “Home Court”. The building should be completed by early fall of 2008.
