GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In a vote of the eight Conference coaches, AQUINAS junior forward Pedja Lazic (Kentwood, Mich.) has been named the 2007-08 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, SIENA HEIGHTS center Brian Champine (Temperance, Mich.) has been named WHAC Newcomer of the Year, CORNERSTONE forward Caleb Simons (Temperance, Mich.) has been named WHAC Freshman of the Year and Dave Hammer of AQUINAS is the WHAC Coach of the Year, the league announced today.
