GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The road to the 2008 WHAC tournament championships will run through Grand Rapids as Aquinas College and Davenport University have garnered the top seeds in the men's and women's brackets respectively.
The men's basketball tournament kicks off Wednesday night with first round games pitting #1-seed Aquinas versus #8-seed UM-Dearborn, #2-seed Indiana Tech versus #7-seed Davenport, #3-seed Madonna versus #6-seed Siena Heights and #4-seed Cornerstone versus #5-seed Cornerstone. All games take place at the higher seeded team and begin at 7:30 pm.
The women's basketball tournament starts Thursday night with top-seed Davenport versus #8-seed Indiana Tech, #2-seed and WHAC regular season co-champion Cornerstone versus #7-seed UM-Dearborn, #3-seed Aquinas versus #6-seed Siena Heights and #4-seed Madonna versus #5-seed Concordia.
