(January 31, 2008 - Ann Arbor, Mich.) -- Last fall staff members from Campus Life magazine, a publication of Christianity Today, were scouring Christian campuses nationwide searching for students to profile in their College Guide issue, which comes out in February. The magazine selected Concordia men's basketball player Kyle Thoms as one of the featured students as a representative of the average student-athlete on today's small Christian college campus.
While copies of the publication have yet to hit the newsstand, the Concordia marketing department is hopeful that they will soon be receiving advanced copies for interested individuals on campus.
Thoms discusses developing a disciplined approach as he juggles many different responsibilities on campus, in addition to his time devoted to the basketball team.
"I've learned I can't always do things by myself, and it's OK to ask for help - especially from God," Thoms is quoted in the article as saying.
While offering advice on how to manage your time wisely, no truer words could be spoken than how Thoms ends the article.
"And above all, focus on God, and have him be in control of your life."
While not currently available on their main website, Christianity Today has many applicable and interesting articles that are applicable to all, with many focused on college age students. Visit www.christianitytoday.comfor more information. |
