GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Madonna University senior guard Jon Battle (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) and Siena Heights University senior center Onicko Biggs (Detroit, Mich./Trinity Catholic) were named men’s and women’s basketball Player of the Week respectively for November 26-December 1, 2007.

Battle, posted impressive numbers over a three game stretch for the Crusaders, averaging 20.7 points per game.  Battle poured in a team high 22 points to help MU to their lone with of the week, a 89-85 upset at NAIA DI Montana State Northern Friday night.  Battle also averaged five rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest while shooting .610 (25-for-38) from the floor .

Biggs helped Siena Heights to a undefeated week, averaging a double-double with 12.3 points and 16.7 rebounds pe game.  Biggs also averaged 1.3 assists, two blocks and 1.7 steals per game in wins over Grace, Alma and Purdue-Calumet.
