Dearborn, Mich. -- The Madonna University volleyball team defeated Cornerstone University in three games Saturday afternoon to capture the 2007 WHAC tournament championship and earn the right to host next weekend's NAIA Region VIII tournament.
The Crusaders will host the regional tournament beginning next Friday, November 15th on the MU campus in the Activities Center.
Madonna will be joined by tournament runner-up Cornerstone and consolation match winner Indiana Tech, who downed #2 seed UM-Dearborn in four games earlier in the day.
