In its first season, the Indiana Tech women’s cross country team won the NAIA Region VIII Championship meet on Saturday, Nov. 3, and qualified for the NAIA National Championships. Warriors Coach Brad Peterson was named Women’s Cross Country Region VIII Coach of the Year.
The men’s cross country team, also in its first year, will send two individual runners to the National Championships and may qualify for an at-large bid, which will be announced next week. The Indiana Tech women, all freshmen, won the meet with 59 points. The team’s average time for the 5K run was 18:57.25. Individual times were:
