GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The 2007 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference men’s soccer all-conference teams were announced today (October 26) with Davenport University junior Tony Deakin earning Player of the Year honors. Madonna University head coach Tino Scicluna was named the conference Coach of the Year and MU freshman Makesi Lewis earned Newcomer of the Year honors while Cornerstone head coach Mark Bell earned WHAC Coach of Character honors.
Madonna, the WHAC regular season champion and top-seed in tomorrow’s WHAC playoffs will face fourth-seed Aquinas College in one semi-final matchup while #2 Davenport squares off with #3 Cornerstone in the other conference semi.
