Grand Rapids, Mich. -- The 2007 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference women's soccer championship tournament kicks off Wednesday with the top four teams in the league squaring off for the conference tournament crown.
The first semi-final matchup pits top-seed and regular season champion Aquinas College versus fourth-seeded Madonna University.  The Saints will host the Crusaders, but it is Madonna looking for revenge after Aquinas took both games during the regular season.  Aquinas outscored MU 4-1 during their two earlier meetings.  Game time is set for 2:00 pm in Grand Rapids, Wednesday.
In the second semi-final, #2 seed Siena Heights will host #3 seed Cornerstone in Adrian at 3:00 pm Wednesday.  The contest is a re-match of the final regular season game of the year, which Siena Heights won to clinch the #2 seed, 1-0 Saturday.  Wednesday game will be the most important in the season series and the rubber match, as the two teams tied in their first meeting of the season, 1-1 in Grand Rapids.
