Grand Rapids, Mich. -- The 2007 WHAC men's and women's cross country championships were held Saturday in Adrian, Michigan on the campus of Siena Heights University which saw NAIA #2 ranked Aquinas take the women's title and first-year program Indiana Tech win the women's side as 14 runners earned all-conference accolades.
Aquinas took the men's championship with a team time of 2:08:33.00, besting second place finisher Cornerstone by 28 seconds. The Saints saw three of their runners finish in the top-seven, thus earning All-Conference accolades. Cornerstone University senior Derek Scott, took home the individual championship and Runner-of-the-Year honors after a winning time of 25:08.00.
On the women's side, first year program Indiana Tech claimed the WHAC title with a team time of 1:35:58.00. The Warriors bested second place Aquinas by just over a minute.
Aquinas junior Amanda Strouse earned individual champion honors with a winning time of 18:32.00.
