Grand Rapids, Mich. -- Aquinas junior golfer Brian Hayward (Ottawa Hills) continues his successful junior campaign as he shot a competitive course record 67 at Railside Golf Club, located in Byron Center, Michigan.
Hayward, who was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference individual champion with a six-round average of 72.3 this past Fall, was the top finisher in the Furniture City Classic on Tuesday, April 24 shooting a 67, a competitive course record, and outdistancing the field by 10 strokes.
Aquinas finished in 3rd place in a tight competition. Hayward, a WHAC All-conference recipient, and Aquinas will compete in the NAIA Region 8 championship this weekend.
