For only the second time since Coach Tom Gunn’s appointment as men’s golf coach at Aquinas some 23 years ago can Coach Gunn remember an Aquinas golfer chipping in a hole-in-one. According to Gunn’s recollection, he can remember a hole in one in the early 1980’s shot by Bill Wiebel at Tri-State University.

The hole-in-one this time came from freshman Brad Hall (Cadillac) during the WHAC Jamboree hosted by Madonna at Fellow Creeks Country Club on September 23, 2006. The hole-in-one came on a par 3 from 233 yards out. Hall’s hole-in-one marks the first hole-in-one in men’s golf since the inception of the WHAC. The Saints finished tied for second in the Jamboree with a score of 303. Hall finished the Jamboree tied for 10th with a score of 77.
