GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (11/6/13)Davenport claimed its second consecutive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's soccer championship after dropping just one league match during the season. The Panthers finished the regular season with an 8-1-0 WHAC record and were 15-2-0 overall.

Senior Lizzie Paul led Davenport with 46 points on 20 goals and six assists to be named the league's Offensive Player of the Year. Paul notched five game-winning goals and currently is 10th in the NAIA in that stat category. Her 20 goals put her tied for the 12th spot in the country. Teammate Laken Duchar-Clark earned Defensive Player of the Year honors after anchoring DU's defense that allowed only 11 goals goals in 17 matches and forced nine shutouts. In addition, she scored three goals and had an assist during the year. Northwestern Ohio freshman Frida Bremer received the Newcomer of the Year award. The forward found the net 20 times and had 10 assists for 50 total points, enough for 11th place in the NAIA. Bremer is also tied for 12th in total goals. Panther head coach Chris Allen is the conference's Coach of the Year after leading the Panthers to back-to-back WHAC titles in his fifth season. Jamie Scott of Lawrence Tech was voted by the coaches as the Coach of Character.

Also announced along with All-Academic Team (cumulative 3.25 GPA and junior or above in academic standing) and Champions of Character Team with members best representing the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
