Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's basketball coaches picked Concordia to capture the conference crown. The Cardinals tallied 138 points with Davenport right behind at 128. In addition to the preseason poll, coaches picked Preseason All-Conference selections.
The 2012-13 season looks to be an interesting one. The league has two first-year head coaches and five others with less than three years at the helm. It also sees a nice mix of experienced veterans and young talent.

#1 Concordia (29-6/13-2) - Coach of the Year Andrea Gorski (5th year, 78-52) led the Cardinals to their best season yet and a trip to the NAIA National Championship Tournament. Return three starters, including the team's top scorer and top two rebounders, and two others wo started a number of games last season. CUAA has a home winning streak of 24 games over the last 2 seasons on the line.

The Lady Panthers also clinched an automatic berth to the NAIA Division II Tournament by winning their third consecutive WHAC Tournament title.Karli Harris is the lone returning starter and will enter her senior campaign looking to lead a new group of starters. Williams' first incoming class features three players who received All-State honors in their respective high schools and a junior transfer from Kalamazoo Valley CC.

The Crusaders also welcome 2011 WHAC All-Newcomer team selection Rachel Melcher back after the 5-9 guard missed all of 2011-12 while recovering from a torn ACL .

#4 Cornerstone (18-13/11-7) - First year coach Katie Mattera looks to regroup after losing some key seniors. Half of the dynamic Veltkamp sisters returns, but tAll-American Melissa was lost to graduation. A slew of recruits will need to gel quickly for continued success.

#5 Aquinas (15-15/8-10) - Linda Nash (16th year, 274-188) returns a strong nucleus of players including five seniors. The Saints will be without Lindsey Karpowicz who tore her ACL this summer. Taelor Sanders has the ability to be one of the top players in the WHAC after a strong junior campaign. Five freshman will add depth to the program. The Saints are looking to go more up tempo this season and will key on attacking the basket with strong defensive pressure.
