ROMOLUS, Mich. - (RESULTS) Madonna held firm after taking a one-shot lead on the first day to win the second Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Golf Jamboree.  MU's 36-hole total of 662 (326,336) edged Indiana Tech's 663 (338,325) and Aquinas' 664 (327,337). Davenport (697) was fourth with Siena Heights (699), Lourdes (719), Northwestern Ohio (780), and Cornerstone (786) rounding out the field. Concordia did not field a full squad and did not post a team score. Tech's Megan Garrison carded rounds of 79 and 80 to claim the Individual Medalist title.

Chelsea Collura and Michelle Hall led the Crusaders with fourth-place finishes. The two finished in a tie with scores of 164 after Collura shot rounds of 80 and 84 and Hall carded an 81 and an 83. IT used Garrison's first-place finish and a sixth-place finish by Lizzie Campbell to finish one stroke back of Madonna at 663. Aquinas, in second place after the first round, finished third with a team stroke total of 664.

Garrison shot a low-round 79 on the first day for a one-stroke lead over Abby Hagan of Aquinas and Collura. On day two, Garrison carded an 80 for a stroke total of 159 (15-over-par). Ashley Everett, Siena Heights, shot a 163 (81, 82) to tie for second place with Hagan who shot an 83 in round two.

Tech holds a seven-stroke lead over Aquinas in the conference standings with the next Jamboree on Aquinass home course, Thursday, Sept. 27.
