CALEDONIA, Mich. - (9/12/12) RESULTS - Davenport shot four strokes better than the field during the first round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Confernece (WHAC) Men's Golf Jamboree #2 for a round of 309 and followed it with a low-round of 303 to claim the second jamboree and the lead in the conference standings. Madonna recovered from a first round score of 316 to card a 305 to tie Northwestern Ohio for second place at the Jamboree. The first round was hosted by Cornerstone at Quail Ridge Golf Course (Par 72, 7271 yards) and the teams played at Stonewater Creek Country Club (Par 71, 6757 yards) on day two with DU as the host.

UNOH's Keith Long took home individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 149 for six-over-par. The sophomore rebounded from a day-one score of 77 to post a low-round 72 on the second day. Tom Kocks of Indiana Tech finished second at 150 and Adrian Balbas (76/75), DU, and Bailey Mathieson (73/78), Cornerstone, tied for third with 151. DU's Alex Watier rounded out th top five places with a 152 (75/77).

The Panthers placed four golfers in the top 10 to claim the jamboree. In addition to Balbas' third-place score, Alex Watier placed fifth, Jorge Benitez tied for seventh, and Zach Feher finished 10th. With the win, DU holds a three-stroke lead over Madonna in the conference standings with a 916. MU hosts the next jamboree on Oct. 6.
