Women's Golf - Thu, Sep. 30, 2010
LIVONIA, Mich. (9/30/10) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its postseason honors for the sport of Women's Golf. Michelle Hall of Madonna University  claimed the conference's Individual Medalist award and Indiana Tech head coach Kelly Mettert was named Coach of the Year. Concordia University head coach Matt Distelrath was awarded the Champions of Character Coach Award by his fellow coaches.

Indiana Tech captured the 2010 conference championship with the lowest total stroke total of 1,344 through four jamborees. Madonna finished in second place with a team total of 1,355. With the crown, Tech earned the right to host a spring playoff to determine the conference's automatic bid to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women's Golf National Championships in May. Hall's status of individual medalist automatically qualified her for nationals.

All-Conference selections are based on average score during the course of a minimum of three jamborees. All-Academic team members must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and are nominated by head coaches. Champions of Character team members best represent the NAIA's five core character values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
